About North Marshall Pediatrics

Our mission is to provide the highest quality of pediatric care with kindness and compassion to all of our patients and their families. Our entire staff at North Marshall Pediatrics recognizes that every child and family is unique. Therefore, we strive to provide individualized care with dignity and respect. While our providers are experts in pediatric medicine, we acknowledge that parents are experts regarding their children's needs.

We provide patients with a SEPARATE WAITING ROOM for our WELL/NEWBORN children.

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and closed for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. For our holiday hours and any unexpected office closings, please be sure to check out our Facebook page.

Dr. Don Jones


Dr. Don E. Jones is a native of Huntsville, Alabama, and a graduate of Virgil I. Grissom High School. He attended Auburn University, where he earned both a B.S. in Zoology and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree. He practiced small animal veterinary medicine in Huntsville for four years before deciding to pursue a career in human medicine. Dr. Jones graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 2004. Prior to graduating, he received the Excellent Patient Communications Award. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital in June of 2007. He is a board certified pediatrician.

Dr. Jones has been working as a pediatrician in Marshall County since completing his residency. He and his wife, Jennifer, have four children: Jack, Abby Kaye, Mallory, and Spencer. He enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and driving his antique British cars.

Dr. Jones considers practicing pediatric medicine to be a privilege, and he works to provide knowledgeable and compassionate care to every family. He is dedicated to providing the best care possible for the patients of North Marshall Pediatrics, P.C.

Alaina Shockley, CRNP


Alaina is a 2003 Graduate of Douglas High School. She is a 2010 Graduate of Wallace State Community College where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing. Graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in August of 2018, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Nursing Honors. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau from University of Alabama in Huntsville where she graduated in December 2019 with a Masters in Nursing concentrated in Family Nurse Practitioner. She is Board certified in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Alaina has been practicing as a medical provider in Marshall county since graduating in 2019. As a registered nurse Alaina has practiced in many areas from pediatrics, ICU, ER, Med-surg, but by far pediatrics she feels is her calling.

Alaina is married to her husband Mitch and they have one son, Rece. Alaina loves to share that their son Rece was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. She is an advocate for the Congenital Heart Center at Children’s of Birmingham and shares how much The Lord has blessed them on the amazing journey Rece has had since his diagnosis and first Open Heart Surgery and latest procedures. Alaina spreads CHD awareness any chance she can get. She and her family attend The Fellowship church in Albertville where they are actively involved in Awana and other ministries. They stay busy with their son’s sports schedule of basketball, baseball and golf. They enjoy multiple outdoor hobbies and love going to Disney World.

Alaina strives to provide compassionate, knowledge and individualized care to each patient she has the privilege to take care of.

Dr. Sarah Polistico


Dr. Polistico grew up in the Philippines and studied Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. She completed her pediatric residency at Makati Medical Center in the Philippines in 2015 and had been practicing as a general pediatrician until she moved to the US in 2017. She then completed her second pediatric residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York in 2021. She is a board-certified pediatrician.

She had been practicing as a pediatrician in Indiana before moving to Alabama. She and her husband Jordan, who is an Infectious Disease specialist, have two wonderful children: Amanda and Alexander. She enjoys spending afternoons with a cup of coffee and a good book, traveling with her family, and exploring the many places that their new home has to offer. Her husband is currently trying to teach her how to play golf, with minimal success.

She believes in the core principles of competence, compassion and commitment as they pertain to the practice of Pediatrics. She considers herself fortunate to have the privilege of caring for the patients of North Marshall Pediatrics, P.C and is looking forward to helping her patients grow and thrive.
